Ask any sixteen year old what they want to do when they are seventeen and most will say “learn to drive“. It’s an experience that most kids dream of long before their seventeenth birthday and passing a driving test is a great accomplishment for any teenager. These days there are some driving schools that have large off road areas for young people to start learning motoring skills before their seventeenth birthday. Off road driving camps can teach skills such as:
- Clutch control
- Emergency stop
- Reversing
- Turn in the road
Basically they can teach most driving skills apart from road experience. Feedback from off road driving camps is mostly positive and gets kids really excited about the possibilities that await them as the proud owner of a shiny new driving licence. Not all teenagers are lucky enough to have the opportunity to learn to drive as soon as they turn seventeen but it is a priority for most kids and will even come before nights out and socialising with friends.
