Staying in London on a Budget

Filed under: Travel Tips — Tags: — admin @ 12:30 am

If you fancy taking a short break in London but don’t have an enormous budget to stay in one of the many top class hotels, then you should search online for London hotel offers, where you can find great last minute (or advanced booking) deals on great rooms and accommodation.

There are lots of hotel comparison websites which will guide you on the best locations to stay in London and what you can get for your specific budget. They are the travellers friend because they usually come with user reviews and extra special ‘site only’ offers that help the hotels fill their rooms so they are not left with dead space.

Many comparison websites deal directly with the hotels themselves (rather than as an affiliate), however, it is always worth checking with the hotel directly to see if they have an equal or better offer which will save them the potential commission they would have to pay if you booked through a comparison agent.

Cheap Package Holidays This Summer

Filed under: Travel Tips — Tags: — admin @ 6:57 pm

It’s hard to find cheap package holidays these days. I’m looking around for a trip for my wife Sarah, and our three children (Claire, Luke, and Beth), and myself to go on before I’ve started my new job in July. I’m leaving my current position, after 15 years at the company, and will be joining a brand new company towards the end of July. My current position ends on the 30th of June, so I’ll have a few weeks to relax and unwind before I start my new position, and what better way to relax than to get away to the sun with the wife and kids? We’ll be heading down to Marbella probably, somewhere near Puerto Banus, as there are some really nice resorts and hotels down there, and it’s an area that Sarah and I have visited a fair few times, so we know the local attractions, and the best places to eat and drink.

Palm Tree Promenade in Lanarca-Cyprus Revisited

Filed under: Travel Tips — Tags: — admin @ 1:59 pm

Travels 2005 Travels 2006 Travels 2007Palm Tree Promenade in Lanarca-Cyprus derived its name from the numerous palm trees surrounding the streets flanking the promenade. It is a major destination for both local and tourists alike. It is situated along the seafront in the older section of the town, along Athens Avenue.

There are many attractions and activities that can make a trip to the site a worthwhile activity. Both kids and adults can wade in the waters of the beach or watch the waves for relaxing your senses. As it is lined with cafes or restaurants, one can expect musical events from time to time.

One of the most popular landmarks in Palm Tree Promenade in Lanarca-Cyprus is the Church of St. Lazarus, which dates back during the 9th century. Legend has it that the structure was built in what is said to be the tomb of Lazarus, the friend of Jesus whom he raised from the dead.
